Description of Techniques

p Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles and soft tissue through the use of various techniques using slow firm strokes with hands, fingers and forearms. The pressure is adjusted to your preference accommodating from moderate to very deep. This can provide deep relaxation while helping with chronic pain, posture or injury recovery.
 Relaxation Massage, also called Swedish Massage is all about relaxation and flow. Through the use of long smooth strokes the tension of muscles and stress melt away as the improved circulation of blood and lymph move through the body to flush out built up or blocked impurities in the system which is vital to the body's immune system and well being.

 Sports Massage is a combination of many modalities depending on the particular needs of the athlete to stretch out and relieve over worked muscles. This technique is excellent for both the professional athlete or the weekend warrior to increase physical performance by reducing recovery time allowing you to play hard and improve every time.
 Swedish Gymnastics Bodywork is movements bending and stretching of muscles and ligaments, breaking up adhesions, increasing range of motion and flexibility of joints. This technique breaks up a lot of tension that can be stuck in the body. Imagine Yoga meets Massage.
 Neuro-muscular Therapy (NMT) is an interactive bodywork treatment that maximizes results in the shortest time by reprogramming the muscles memory to restore length to tight muscles allowing for increased range of motion and decrease pain.
 Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension often called "knots", which can build up due to physical, mental and/or emotional stress. Focused pressure is applied to release the trigger point. This process can be painful at times, yet its effects are profound.
 Myofascial Release
is a massage technique that uses very slow strokes focused on stretching the fascia layer that holds muscles in their place and can sometimes be the cause of chronic pain or postural imbalances.
 Spa Therapies include services such as body wraps, salt or sugar scrubs and foot soaks all designed to help cleanse the body of toxins and provide relaxation, improving the way you look and feel. If you are interested in a particular Spa Therapy we are happy to accommodate.
